We
fully understand the unique needs of young adults.
They
have not successfully transitioned to adulthood and still
think like a teenager, yet they have the legal rights of an
adult. Gatehouse Academy is one of the only drug rehab programs
in the nation that focuses exclusively and unconditionally
on young adults age 17-25. Because of this we have an in-depth
understanding and ability to connect with young adults, which
is essential in a successful young adult intervention.
What
is an intervention?
An
intervention is a carefully orchestrated event, run by an
outside professional, that focuses on the young adult in question.
This process has often been referred to as a "surprise
birthday party", where the end result is not blowing
out candles, but a choice by the person in need of drug rehab
to go to treatment. The intervention is attended by numerous
people that love and care for the young adult and have some
influence in their life.

Admission
into Gatehouse Academy is not a requirement for us to be involved.
Gatehouse Academy is a unique approach and not right for everyone.
What is important is making sure that your loved one gets
help and gets safely into drug rehab. Our group of
staff and interventionists know the damaging effects of drugs
and alcohol and want to see young adults get well.
I
want to do intervention. What do I do now?
No
two interventions are the same. In the same way that each
person is unique, each intervention is unique. All you have
to do is pick up the phone and call. We will work with you
to find the right solution.
