"Gatehouse is
not a drug rehab center, it is a community of transformation..."
The
backbone of Gatehouse Academy is the focus on finding an acceptable
balance of the mind, body and spirit through our one-of-a-kind
Leadership Training Curriculum, which stops only at - excellence.
The schedule is completely comprehensive, a time-tested blend
that includes: daily
12-step meetings, recreational activities, participation in
school and individual and group therapy coordinated by our
own Gatehouse Therapeutic
Health Services. Through our ongoing mantra - through honesty
and development of integrity, life changes and miracles happen;
living here we experience the miracles! Gatehouse Academy
is not a drug
rehab center - it is a community of transformation, where
graduates go from the depths of despair into a place of leadership
and personal excellence.
"A
Unique Academic Learning Environment"
Academic
success can be quite challenging for young adults needing
drug rehab. Unlike many other drug rehab programs, Gatehouse
Academy is provided accredited high school and college level
courses. On the campus, is a one-of-a-kind learning facility
where residents work towards college credits or to complete
high school. We can provide a diploma that will allow the
graduate entrance to an Ivy League University and/or start
them on their way towards university. Gatehouse Academy is
an unique school where young people who have experienced "blocks"
in their lives are being educated while living in a safe,
supportive and sober community devoted to excellence.
"Involvement
of the Entire Family"
For
young adults in residential drug rehab treatment, family involvement
is critical. At Gatehouse Academy, another pivotal part to
the success is the Family Workshops that are held on
a monthly basis. Through these family workshops, the family
realizes that alcoholism and drug addiction is a disease that
affects the whole family. The parents realize how hurtful
the experience of living with their young adult has been.
The residents begin to make amends to their parents and through
this process of forgiveness real transformation begins.
